Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of our facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct repairs and replacements as needed to minimize downtime and ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
- Utilize logic controllers and other specialized tools to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Fabricate and install custom components as required.
- Oversee and direct other maintenance personnel, providing guidance and training when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs using our CMMS system.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform residential painting tasks as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Utilize an ohmmeter to test and diagnose electrical issues.
- Communicate effectively with other team members, residents, and vendors to ensure that all maintenance and repair tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience with CMMS systems and other maintenance software.
- Leadership experience, including supervising and training other maintenance personnel.
- Familiarity with residential painting and the ability to perform these tasks as needed.
- Experience with logic controllers and other specialized tools.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
