Responsibilities:

• Support systems engineering lifecycle for large-scale deployments of log management platforms like Splunk and Cribl.
• Implement log data pipelines using Python automation for ingestion into platforms such as Splunk and Open Search.
• Automate platform management tasks using Ansible or similar scripting tools/languages.
• Troubleshoot incidents affecting log data platforms.
• Collaborate with platform users, coordinating activities and resolving issues.
• Develop training materials and documentation.
• Assist with log data platform upgrades and testing coordination.
• Gather and process raw data from diverse sources for analysis.
• Enable batch and real-time analytical processing solutions leveraging emerging technologies.
• Build log data pipelines to support development and testing of log data engineering.

Required Skills/Experience

• 3-5 years managing and configuring Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud.
• Experience with Linux and Windows agents (Splunk, Fluentbit/Fluentd) for log data engineering.
• Designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions using AWS.
• Onboarding new data, configuring systems, creating dashboards, and extracting insights via Splunk and Cribl.
• Developing systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large datasets.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (bash, python, etc.).
• Familiarity with Splunk REST APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and container orchestration.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration platforms.
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues.
• Skilled in supporting technical users and conducting requirements analysis.
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management, Incident & Problem management.
• Strong in identifying performance bottlenecks and resolving system issues.
• Effective at collaborating across teams to influence software design, operations, and deployment.
• Knowledgeable in security, performance, and disaster recovery best practices.
