Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our new restaurant opening in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a proven track record in restaurant management, and the ability to foster a positive and productive work environment. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing hospitality group and work alongside a Michelin Bib Gourmand Chef, setting the stage for significant career development and advancement in the culinary and hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring seamless and efficient service.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a diverse team of employees. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Financial Management: Manage the restaurant's budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost control measures. Analyze financial reports and develop strategies to increase profitability.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and minimizing waste. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
  • Compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Stay current with industry standards and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Coordinate special events and promotions.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure menu items meet quality standards.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize restaurant management software and POS systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 2 years in a General Manager role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
  • Customer Focused: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and fostering a customer-centric culture.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle difficult situations, resolve conflicts, and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Full Availability: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
