Job Description: Lexington Ob/Gyn Part-Time Ultrasound Tech Job Summary: With limited supervision coordinates the delivery of health care services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Establishes and maintains standards of care in Ultrasound sciences. Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties. Assures appropriate patient care management and adjust daily operations to meet the needs of a changing work environment. Involved with staff competencies, schedules, and educational needs. If position involves work with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians, nuchal translucency certification preferred (or obtained within the first year of employment). Performs the following studies proficiently: Biophysical Profile Complete Obstetric Ultrasound Limited Obstetric Ultrasound Multiple Gestation Ultrasound Transvaginal (cervical length) Ultrasound Pelvic Ultrasound Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree from an OB-GYN Ultrasound program preferred (Certificate or Degree as long as registry eligible). Holds current credentials as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Three (3) years of experience in scanning OB-GYN procedures. Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate.
