BHMG Baptist Health Medical Group Inc. is Hiring an Urgent Care Medical Assistant Near Lexington, KY

Job Description: Eligible for $2000 Sign-on Bonus BHMG - Urgent Care Nicholasville Rd. Full Time- MA The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the coordination of direct patient care activities and providing clinical support to providers. Duties include: check in patients, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, temperature) and medication reconciliation, patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, stocking clinic with supplies, navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), checking for prior authorizations and scheduling tests, procedures and consultations. May also perform other procedures such as EKG, phlebotomy, lab tests and injections. Minimum Requirements: *Competencies will be assessed upon hire High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information, plus. Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days, plus one of the following Prior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties. Or a Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA). Or completed any MA education program, but has not received certification as of yet.
