Job Description: Part time 24 weekly hours, night shift About the Unit: The Emergency Department (ER) has 44 beds divided into four pods of eight beds and one pod of twelve beds. This fast-paced ER treats an average of 160 patients per day and encounter a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries and psychiatric patients. The ER is recognized by the American Heart Association as both a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center. New graduate nurses are welcome. Job Duties: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the emergency patient. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.
