Sr Data Analyst

Remote with Microsoft on Managed Services

Compensation:

The annual salary is $124,800- $135,200, equivalent to $60-$65 per hour.

Summary

The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for implementing data initiatives, standardizing business data, and developing processes for data solutions and operations. They will collaborate with team members to analyze data, generate reports and presentations, structure large data sets, and identify improvement opportunities. The role requires proficiency in SQL, Python, data visualization tools, cloud technologies, and strong technical writing skills. The ideal candidate should be a creative problem-solver with excellent communication and troubleshooting abilities, experienced in data warehousing, ETL, machine learning principles, and business process design.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement initiatives, business data standardization, requirements for data software development needed for solutions, and operations process development
• Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
• Analyze data and processes, for internal customers, vendors, and key stakeholders
• Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings, for internal teams
• Structure large data sets to find usable information, and across various data sources
• Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
• Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
• Establish KPIs/OKRs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
• Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to gather information, so they need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as be good listeners
• Liaison with management to coordinate process improvement, project activities and maintain project timeframes

Qualifications

• Data coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
• Proficient in using analytical programs (i.e. MS Access, PowerBI, Tableau, Azure Kusto), as well as spreadsheet software (i.e. Excel) and flow-charting tools (i.e. Visio)
• Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques
• Have excellent technical writing skills (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) to produce presentations and reports
• Experience Azure DevOps for work tracking
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques, and cloud technologies
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Must think creatively to solve problems, need to have strong troubleshooting skills to find new ways to help the team achieve their goals, be a continuous learner with a high-quality focus, and be a self-starter
• Familiarity with machine learning principles (i.e. Artificial intelligence, data science, training data models)
• Have experience in business process designs, technical operations (i.e. Hardware or Software testing), and meeting facilitation
