Provides learning opportunities in one or more of the following areas: reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, health, physical education, music and citizenship to students using the curriculum adopted by the District.2. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide customized, small and large group instruction.3. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and relationship building.4. Regularly assesses each student’s academic and social growth, maintains appropriate and timely records, and prepares progress reports.5. Communicates with parents through conferences and other means such as newsletters, email, phone calls, student information system postings (as applicable), web pages, blogs, and other electronic means to discuss student’s progress as it relates to curriculum.6.
