The BAF Finance Director is responsible for working with the VP of Finance and is accountable for driving financials processes across the organization through financial metrics, capital investment, economic analysis, productivity analysis, and manufacturing cost analysis and creating collaborative thinking for all BAF locations.

In partnership with the finance team, this individual will work collaboratively with other organizational leaders to ensure timely and accurate internal forecasting and reporting, while adhering to company internal control procedures. Additionally, the Finance Director will continuously evaluate systems and procedures to ensure that operations of each department are being run in the most efficient and effective manner and align to BAF strategic objectives. The successful candidate should be results-oriented with prior experience in a fast-growing, privately-owned organization.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance within finance contributing to the development, delivery and achievement of BAF financial objectives and priorities.
  • Enhance Segment financial performance through improved forecasting, business analysis, reporting (i.e. budget-to-actual/variance reporting) and overall systems and processes.
  • Development, analysis and interpretation of financial and operating information and reports to determine profitability, performance against budget, forecast and other matters affecting the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the company.
  • Analyze and communicate the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) trends relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin within the business.
  • Oversee the preparation monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; Review and translate financial data into insightful and actionable business intelligence and communicate with business leaders.
  • Partner with Corporate FP&A in the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting for each Business Unit.
  • Create and manage Business Unit pricing models; contribute to commercial business decisions via, as well as analyzing monthly leading indicators to help predict future performance.
  • Create and lead continuous improvement and strategic best practice initiatives necessary to drive financial efficiencies and processes; develop effective internal processes and financial controls for the organization.
  • Partner with Sr. Leadership on data requests regarding Segment financials, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc productivity analysis across the business to identify areas for cost improvement.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting data for internal use and parent company requests.
  • Lead finance-led initiatives to drive finance performance improvement, compliance adherence, and standardization of processes.
  • Understand and drive 80/20 strategies throughout the business to ensure growth-focused activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance; MBA preferred
  • 12 years of finance experience within a high-growth, entrepreneurial organization; Fortune 500 experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills, including extensive use of excel and manufacturing ERP systems
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments
  • Self-starting, flexible and responsive; able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple assignments within specified deadlines
  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating complex financial information in an understandable format
