Big Brand Tire & Service is Hiring a M&A Sourcing Manager Near Moorpark, CA

The M&A Sourcing Manager is responsible for proactively identifying, researching, and engaging potential acquisition targets or investment opportunities. This role is crucial for building and maintaining a robust deal pipeline to support Big Brand Tire & Service’s M&A strategy. This team plays a pivotal role in generating the necessary deal flow to support a high-velocity deal team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic outbound sourcing plans to identify potential M&A targets.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches and advanced tools to create targeted lists of companies.
  • Conduct high-volume outreach to potential targets using various channels (email, phone, social media).
  • Customize engagement approaches based on the target company's profile, focus, and decision-makers.
  • Research and identify off-market opportunities that may not be actively seeking buyers or investors.
  • Build and maintain a database of potential targets for current and future M&A opportunities.
  • Collaborate with deal teams and industry specialists to understand investment theses and ideal target profiles.
  • Optimize outreach and engagement strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and interactions in the firm's deal management system.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging sourcing techniques in the M&A space.
  • Assist in gathering financials and diligence to create detailed financial models and valuation analyses to support M&A decisions.
  • Assist as needed in the preparation of M&A proposals and recommendations to senior management and the investment committee.
We are looking for someone with experience in the following:
  • Proven experience in outbound sourcing.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify potential candidates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to craft compelling messages that resonate with people.
  • Familiarity with M&A processes and deal structures.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Strong networking skills.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Number and value of potential deals sourced and created.
  • Response rates to outreach efforts.
  • Average time for deals to progress through the acquisition funnel.
  • ROI and synergies achieved from completed acquisitions.
  • Quality and depth of acquisition pipeline.
  • Thoroughness of notes and documentation in the CRM database.
