About the Company:

The Houston SaberCats are Houston’s own Major League Rugby professional squad. The team was founded in 2017 and hosts its home matches at SaberCats Stadium in Houston, TX. SaberCats Stadium also hosts the Houston Havoc, Dynamo 2, University of St. Thomas, Collegiate Rugby Championships, as well as other events throughout the year.

Job Description:

• Set up, supervise and break down all food and beverage operations including concession stands, mobile units, bars & catering
• Ensure adequate staffing levels ahead of events based on expected attendance
• Ensure guest service expectations are met
• Control and communicate all profit and loss measures including cash control, inventory and labor management
• Monitor working stations for safe and clean food handling standards
• Maintain a fun, hospitable working environment in line with company policies and expectations
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with company policies, city, county, state and federal laws and health code
• Maintain and promote relationships with vendors, suppliers and event hosts

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business/hospitality or equivalent experience in a related field
• Minimum two years of experience working directly in dining, hospitality, culinary or entertainment
• Standing, stooping, reaching, walking and bending regularly; lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Texas approved Food Safety Manager Certification; Texas approved TABC certification
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
