Big D Construction is Hiring a Director of Business Development Near Tempe, AZ

Big-D Southwest is looking for a Director of Business Development who will lead and execute the business development strategies to support the company's sales goal. Big-D Construction is looking for a Director of Business Development to join our team of professionals in Tempe, AZ.
SummaryThe Director of Business Development will lead the sales strategy while identifying opportunities that align with our core markets, fostering client and industry partner relationships and building the sales funnel to support the region's growth.
Experience/Training
  • A minimum of 7 years in business development/sales in the A/E/C industry.
  • Ability to track opportunities and client information in CRM (Cosential)
Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations: (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)
  • Comprehend core markets and identify opportunities aligned with sales goal
  • Business acumen
  • Proficient knowledge of sales pipeline and conversion
  • Overall knowledge of the Arizona commercial construction real estate market
  • Knowledge of key players in the market
  • Evaluate opportunities/geographical locations for Big-D to expand
  • Monitor, analyze and report on activities of competitors in the market, identifying strengths, threats and opportunities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing to align market analysis and with business strategies
  • Full knowledge of the sales funnel
  • Enjoys building relationships with both internal team members and external partners
  • Manage business development budget, allocating company funds for activities aligned with overall goals
