Position Overview Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrate passion and skill for working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
  • Manage student behavior by establishing a strong classroom culture that integrates safe and equitable structures and routines to create a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active, differentiated.
  • Use relevant tools and strategies, including technology, to meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional environment and work towards common school goals.
  • Observe and evaluate student performance and development through formative and summative assessments.
  • Encourage parent and community involvement.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

All teachers will be hired and employed by the Archdiocese of Chicago. All teachers will receive a variety of support from Big Shoulders Fund.
