Job Summary:
Big Star Transit, LLC, a leading non-emergency medical transportation company, is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to oversee and drive operational excellence within our organization. As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in managing senior leadership, strategic planning, process improvement, and business development initiatives to ensure the efficient delivery of specialized passenger transportation services.

THE WORK: As a Transportation Network Success Director, you will be responsible for the oversight of the Network Success function of the organization. The Network Success arm of the organization is “Customer-facing” and responsible for the performance, and growth of the provider network to foster entrepreneurship in our communities and develop long-term relationships with the community stakeholders.

The Network Success team, through its Managers and Representatives, is responsible for the performance of the network to meet Client Contract SLA’s as it relates to service and safety requirements such as, reliability and availability (adherence to deployment plans), customer service, safety, and any other operator or vehicle performance metrics outlined in any client contract. This is achieved through performance data review, virtual and in-person townhalls, and one on one provider meetings.

As the leaders of this functional area you will be expected to creating innovative ways to provide information and resources to the Provider Network to foster ongoing business success and growth for the Network and Big Star. This position partners with the Operations and Fleet Administration teams to ensure network compliance and availability, and fleet availability meet the company’s contractual service requirements and obligations to our clients. These responsibilities include but is not limited to:

Responsibilities:

· Build, deploy, and maintain an effective strategy that allows for a successful Transportation Network

· Effectively manage all functions that comprise Network Success; customer service, recruitment, quality assurance, and life cycle compliance.

· Manage and administer the company’s proprietary platform, Orion, to maintain an efficient, virtual, and interactive environment for company leaders and network partners.

· Create strong partnerships with company leaders; be an active voice of the progressive growth of the Transportation Network.

· Partner with Director of Business Development to deploy new contract/new market strategies

· Own the new contract/new market network deployment playbook

· Monitor regulatory requirements with 1099 independent and small business contracts to ensure compliance

· Lead all Transportation Network monitoring of contractual quality assessments

· Ensure all Divisions have an adequate Transportation Network of Operators and Small Business partners to meet service level agreements.

· Build strong relationships with all brokers, contracting authorities, and contract owners in representation of the Network.

· Effectively manage all functions that comprise the Quality Control Center; network development, compliance assurance, and contact center services.

· Oversee the Community Advisor’s schedule of virtual events to ensure adequate and strategic virtual contact and connectivity with prospective network candidates.

· Create strong partnerships with Division leaders; be an active voice of the progressive growth of the company and how we grow in our technical proficiencies supporting the delivery of the central services of the QC.

· Provide contractually required reporting to brokers, contracting authorities, and contract owners.

· Create an environment where the Transportation Network is comfortable in addressing concerns, asking questions, and inquiring about their individual contracts and contract performance.

· Solve high-level independent and small business contract Operators issues and concerns

· Own the communication strategy for the Transportation Network

· Identify opportunities to create efficiencies within the company

· Build strong relationships with small business partners who supply independent contractor candidates

· Partner with the ELT and the Director of Business Development to prepare and present for future contracts

· Be an active industry leader, representing the Big Star Transit brand

· Manage the Network Success Representatives divisional structure and assignment.

· Maintain all required regulatory training certifications

· Meet or exceed all company KPI numbers related to Network Success.

· Ability to be productive in a virtual working environment with a responsibility for the production of other virtual subordinates.

Education:

· Preferred:

o College Degree: Bachelor or Masters

o Ten plus years of transportation management in the independent network transportation industry

o Five plus years of recruitment; preferably in the transportation industry

o Five plus years of transportation quality and/or contract management

Language Skills:

· Required:

o Proficient written and verbal communication

o Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other cross-functional groups

Technical Experience:

· Required:

o Advanced in Microsoft Suite

· Prefer:

o Microsoft Teams

o Experience managing virtual teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
