Biller Genie is Hiring a Junior Underwriter (Orlando) Near Orlando, FL

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Underwriter to join our dynamic team at Biller Genie. The Junior Underwriter will play a key role in assessing and analyzing credit risk for our clients, contributing to the growth and success of our business.
This role will start as an on-site position, requiring presence in the office. What You’ll Do:
  • Documentation and Reporting: Review applications and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with internal stakeholders and clients to gather necessary financial information, provide updates on underwriting processes, and address inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage applications in various stages, with unique requirements for each. Meet all SLAs and keep applications moving forward.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and procedures, offering insights and suggestions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in credit risk assessment.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in the merchant services industry. Experience specific to fraud and risk is a plus!
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and analyze complex financial information with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with underwriting principles and practices, or a strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in this area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information and engage with stakeholders.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working in a team environment, with the ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, risk management or a related field preferred, but not required.
