Job Overview

BDB is looking for an Associate Creative Director who can bring passion, confidence, leadership and inspiration to a creative team in the US that’s already making waves (Google us).

We’re looking for an experienced creative thinker who will improve and grow the creative offering of BDB US. The team is looking for someone who can be creative about branded influencer campaigns, but this role extends its creative thinking remit to the creator economy in its broadest sense.

We’re the Creative Agency, for the Creator Age so of course you need a passion for and knowledge of creators, influencers, makers, and everything in between. You need to know the playground you’ll be playing in.

We don’t need someone to just direct the team, we need someone to join the team.

Role & Responsibilities 

In this role, you’ll be expected to develop your own creative responses for our biggest clients as well as confidently leading creative pitch responses for new business too. You’ll be expected to coach other team members to develop the best creative ideas they can, too.

Alongside project responsibilities, this role will be expected to proactively identify and lead key departmental work streams too.

You’ll work closely with the BDB Europe Creative team and you’ll report to the Global Creative Director, with whom you’ll work closely on key work streams. You’ll be given space to make recommendations and challenge existing ways of working in order to grow the US creative offering into something you believe in.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Qualifying briefs for the creative team, and defining the creative team output per project.

  • Championing creativity across the agency and beyond.

  • Considering the commercial aspect of our creativity.

  • Managing a team of diverse creatives on a day to day basis, discussing career progression, objective setting, and where necessary having difficult conversations situations to improve performance.

  • Sharing a broad knowledge of creative techniques, processes, responses and styles.
