Biltmore Company is Hiring an Inn Housekeeping Supervisor - Full Time Near Asheville, NC

Job Description
The starting pay range for this position begins at $19.06/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
Full Time: a position working 35 hours per week.
The Inn Housekeeping Supervisor will assist in the daily supervision of employees, and in inspecting work to ensure that Forbes and Inn on Biltmore Estate quality standards are exceeded in the guest rooms and other public spaces. The Supervisor will maintain daily paperwork and administrative task; leads spot inspections and other quality control activities; assists in the selection, hiring and training of staff; and provides support with staff development, performance management, and employee satisfaction initiatives. In addition, the Supervisor will offer general assistance and support for the department, leadership team, and the company as required.
Schedule requires ability to work 1st and 2nd shift , hours vary but generally will fall into the range of 9A - 5:30P, 7A - 330P, 2:30P - 11:00P. This is a working supervisor position.

Essential Job Duties:
1. Directly supervises Housekeeping line staff on a daily basis.
2. Ensures room cleanliness standards; performs room inspections; provides feedback and coaching to associates according to results.
3. Manage and oversee clean and orderly hallways, public area and storage areas.
4. Maintains Provide employees with the proper supplies needed to perform their duties.
5. Assist with selection, hiring and training; development of staff as assigned.
6. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of an effective team.
7. Provides final check of guest rooms before guest check-ins.
8. Follows through and insure guest requests and satisfaction; ALICE any work orders to be processed for repairs.
9. Assists with performance management, any associated counseling/disciplinary measures; facilitates staff communications, teamwork; conflict resolution, productivity maintenance, and motivation.
10. Strive to maintain personal, staff and guest safety and security at all times.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Performs duties of Housekeeping Services or Room Attendant as needed.
2. Perform and ensure proper weekly inventory of supplies are maintained.
3. General assistance and support for the department, company, and leadership.
4. This position may be scheduled for either first or second shifts based on business needs.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma (or GED). Additional education, training, or certification preferred.
2. Two (2) years related experience in upscale/luxury hotel or resort or similar environment. Equivalent combination of education/experience considered. Preferred candidate will have had previous experience in a four or five star/diamond hotel.
3. Solid knowledge of four/five star service and quality standards; experience with inventory control techniques a plus. Outstanding attention to detail.
4. Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal/external guest service; proven leadership skills; ability to build/motivate/develop teams.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills (written and verbal); conveys information clearly, concisely; proficiency in English; working knowledge of other language a plus.
6. Must be able to handle a variety of guest service situations professionally in a manner consistent with company standards.
7. Proactive, takes initiative; creatively problem solves, exercises good judgment; keen attention to details; anticipates and exceeds guest expectations.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.
9. Professional; high ethical standards; reflects company core values.
Physical Requirements : This position will require a physical exam at the Biltmore Clinic prior to starting work. An offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of this examination.
1. The individual will work in a guest contact environment.
2. The individual will be required to lift, pull, push 25 pounds regular and 50 pounds occasionally.
3. The individual may work in a standing position for extended periods of time, and may be required to kneel, reach overhead, bend/stoop as needed.
4. Must be able to operate small commercial cleaning equipment (vacuums, etc.).
5. May be exposed to fumes, particulates, chemicals, and/or fluctuations in temperatures and conditions.
