BioBridge Global is Hiring a Logistics Associate, Donor Services Near San Antonio, TX

South Texas Blood & Tissue is an AABB-accredited blood bank. It operates nine donor centers in South Texas, distributing blood, plasma, platelets, and other components to regional hospitals and emergency first responders. It also provides starting materials to therapeutic developers, and clinical research services. Its apheresis center received FACT accreditation in 2022 for peripheral blood cellular therapy product collection. As an AATB-accredited tissue bank, it offers tissue recovery from living and deceased donors.

General Summary

Responsible for performing the day ? to ? day duties related to inspecting, stocking, and maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment and mission ? ready collection vehicles within the Mobile Logistics area of the Donor Services department.

Must ensure the availability of inventory and equipment necessary to meet blood drive requirements and stock vehicles with supplies, to include controlled documents and laptops, in accordance with mobile drive sheets.

Responsible for the refueling/cleaning of assigned vehicles while providing professional customer service at all times.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Tasks

Must safely drive company vehicles, and perform the duties related to stocking, loading, unloading, and maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment within the Mobile Logistics area.

Ensure that all assigned areas and/or vehicles are stocked with required equipment and supplies prior to leaving for blood drives.

Inspect all received goods thoroughly for damaged items and document appropriately when applicable.

Assist with maintaining accurate equipment information (i.e. serial numbers, asset tag numbers, model numbers, etc.) in computer database.

Assist with the monitoring, tracking, and accounting for the location of all automated and mobile equipment.

Load/Unload designated collection vehicles according to the drive sheet.

Review blood drive requirements and compare with inventory levels to ensure continued availability of products.

Maintain proper documentation of all supplies placed into or removed from inventory.

Follow all applicable Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure all items are neatly organized in designated inventory locations and stock on a first ? in, first ? out (FIFO) basis in accordance with established inventory levels.

Operate all power equipment in a safe manner.

Refuel/Clean assigned company vehicles.

Maintain daily records to include totes, re ? fueling, laptops etc.

Accurately input, compile, and modify data for assigned reports and spreadsheets.

Update laptops and verify functionality.

Prepare mobile packets.

Prepare cord ? blood collection packets.

Maintain a good working relationship with co ? workers, supervisors, management, and internal/external customers.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Run departmental errands as needed.

Education

Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.

Licenses and/or Certifications

Valid United States Drivers License

Must successfully pass internal vehicle driver training

Must successfully pass forklift operator training

Experience

No prior specific work experience required.

Prefer inventory related experience.

Knowledge

Must have a working knowledge of supply and inventory practices.

Must be knowledgeable in procedures to safely fuel gasoline and diesel vehicles from a commercial pump.

Must obtain a working knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements and perform within all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

Must have a working knowledge and understanding of FDA regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Skills

Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.

Must have strong computer skills.

Abilities

Must be able to keep information confidential.

Must be able to multi ? task in a fast ? paced work environment and perform multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.

Must be professional, detail oriented, self ? motivated, innovative, creative, assertive, organized, communicative, and have the ability to work independently.

Working Environment

Works in well ? lighted, air ? conditioned and heated vehicle or office environments, but may work in confined spaces and non ? climate controlled conditions.

May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment.

May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on ? call.

Occasional out of town and overnight stays required.

Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.
