This position offers an extraordinary opportunity to innovate and evolve Biogen’s industry-leading portfolio, improving patient outcomes for millions. As a Senior Director of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Marketing Organization, you will lead Biogen’s MS Patient Marketing strategy and team. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of a patient-centric marketing strategy in support of Biogen’s MS portfolio of products and services. You will also act as a thought partner and mentor / problem solver, in addition to being accountable for the overall team’s success.

What You’ll Do 
Own Patient Portfolio Strategy & Delivery
• Oversee and activate the MS Patient portfolio value story, strategy, and roadmap and oversee execution of priorities / activities across segments and channels, ensuring programs are executed effectively, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with all regulatory / legal requirements
• Co-lead annual development of the Integrated Customer Plan (ICP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including target audiences based on segmentation and anticipated sources of business
• Effectively prioritize team deliverables aligned to business goals with a focus on high impact deliverables
• Set and assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to overall customer success (portfolio & brand performance, MMA, etc.) 

Orchestrate the MS Marketing Customer Experience across Biogen
• Provide strategic direction to peers and team members to inform and drive brand growth, including making trade-off decisions and recommending priority activities and investment based on commercial and customer value 

Lead Patient Marketing Team & Drive Cross-Functional Delivery
• Cultivate strong relationships and effective ways of working within MS Marketing team and amongst cross-functional teams (Sales, Market Access, Medical, etc.), building consensus/buy-in amongst teams
• Coach Patient Marketing team on customer-centric delivery and mindset
• Serve as a thought partner, mentor, and guide to team members as their manager

Qualifications

Required Skills: 
• 10-12 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience
• Comprehension of commercial strategy, sales force execution, and insight gathering methodologies needed to evolve brand strategy
• Demonstrated success preparing for and leading senior executive meetings
• Ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams in a matrixed organization 
• Experience managing budget and finances 
• Bachelors degree; Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, PharmD)

Preferred Skills:
• Experience across multiple domains such as Pharma Sales, Market Access, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Sales Training, and/or Finance
• Neurology experience is a plus
