Biogensys is Hiring an Administrative Staff Specialist - Trenton NJ Near Trenton, NJ

We are hiring an Administrative Staff Specialist for one of our clients in Trenton, NJ.Job DescriptionThe requested Administrative Staff Specialists will assist in the implementation of the DHS drug testing program, review and evaluate criminal history record information (CHRI), review and assess documents relating to CHRI, prepare and disseminate notification and documents citing statutory requirements relating to CHRI finding for applicants, and in the implementation and tracking of the child abuse registry information (CARI) checks. The Administrative Staff Specialist will coordinate the data entry from various unit specific tracking systems currently into the unit's new data system ECCS. The implementation of ECCS requires the entry of hundreds of thousands of records into the new system and ongoing data entry of new records processed by the unit.
The Administrative Staff Specialist will review databases to ensure compliance with established statutes, field calls, respond to general inquiries and provide customer service to stakeholders. The Administrative Staff specialist will also assist the DHS Office of Licensing to prepare compliance reports in advance of agency inspections reporting those agency employees who were fingerprinted, those who have been disqualified, CARI checks completed, drug tests completed, random drug tests completed, archives requested and Central Registry compliance.
Additional Duties And Responsibilities Include
  • Collect and enter data into various data bases.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding program activities
  • Prepare program resources as needed.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing required program reports, files or records.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders regarding basic questions or direction.
  • Assist in preparing for program audits.
  • Prepares letters and correspondence.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation of program initiatives
  • Assisting in coordination of all ECCU entities.
  • Utilize unit data bases.
  • Participate in unit meetings.
  • Special projects as assigned.
Skills Required
  • Performs administrative work for an agency head or upper level agency executive management positions.
  • Represents the agency head to others inside and outside the agency or institution.
  • Actively influences board, commission, council and/or agency policy decisions.
  • Provides administrative, analytical and liaison support.
  • Working knowledge of the agency's programs, policies, and operations.
  • Working knowledge of the organization and operations of state government.
  • Working knowledge of analytical processes and research methods.
  • Some knowledge of office procedures and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and narrative reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement policies, conduct research, and make sound recommendations and decisions.

  • 9am 5pm
