Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering design of new products. This involves decisions:
- Experience with Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GDT) requirements
- Material composition requirements
- General design dimensioning requirements for interface with other products, product function, ease of manufacture and aesthetics
- Surface finish requirements
- Maintenance of associated Design Records, such as:
- Organizing, tracking, and processing of Document Change Requests.
- Distributing new release drawings for proper approvals and revising master drawing files.
- Document Drawing Files
- Generate new drawing/part numbers for new products.
- Special assignments as directed by VP, Research and Development.
- Correct execution of summarized activities is required, especially with respect to timely execution in compliance with company and regulatory policy
- Perform other duties as directed
- Experience with computer network systems, MSWindows, standard MSWindows applications (Word, Excel, Access) and SolidWorks CAD software package, 3-D modeling required.
- One year work experience in medical device field required (dental or orthopaedics preferred); product design responsibility preferred.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires vaccination against Hepatitis B or signed declination form.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Dental Degree required; Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical Engineering preferred.
