BioLegend (a division of Revvity, Inc.) is looking for a Research Assistant I - Scientific Applications which is part of the Strategic Marketing Group. This role will support the generation of scientific data to help promote BioLegend products. Reporting to The Applications Scientist in the group, the Research Associate should be relatively independent when performing experiments, conducting them with limited supervision.

• Executes experiments with a moderate degree of independence.
• Isolate primary cells using various sorting techniques.
• Maintain primary and transformed cell lines using sterile cell culture technique.
• Perform primary cell activation and characterization.
• Openly communicates with manager about projects.
• Uploads data to appropriate databases or folders in an accurate and punctual manner.
• Concludes projects in a timely manner.
• Able to consistently perform general lab maintenance tasks, without reminders.
• Able to record experimental data in a well-organized laboratory notebook.
• Strong organizational skills to keep clear and accurate records.
• Able to compile research data and draft presentations.

Minimum Qualifications – Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology, Immunology, or other related discipline)
• 1-3 years of relevant lab experience

Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience

• Master’s degree in Science (Biology, Immunology, or other related discipline)
• Experience in flow cytometry (conventional or spectral)
• Experience in primary cell cultures
• Experience with Microscopy

The base salary range for this full-time position is $26.44 --$30.41/Hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.Work Environment & Physical Demands - LabWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.
