General Summary and Purpose: The Accounts Payable Manager is the business leader within the Accounting & Finance team in relation to the Company’s Procure to Pay business cycle and is responsible to 1) ensure financial deadlines are met by ensuring Accounts Payable transactions are properly accounted for and 2) all internal controls execute accurately and timely. This role oversees a team that is responsible for vendor approval, invoicing, payments, corporate credit card management, vendor issues or problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, oversee and act over the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, as well as various general ledger activities.
  • Maintain an Accounts Payable (AP) system that properly reflects the financial activities of the Company.
  • Ensure effective financial internal controls and implement new controls and/or control systems.
  • Work with Controller to develop, write, and update detailed internal finance policies, procedures, flowcharts, training documents, and guidelines that detail the AP processes.
  • Monitor policies and procedures, recommend improvements, participate in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives, and serve as a resource in addressing issues related to AP.
  • Ensure that AP activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process with external auditors.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Operations, to ensure accurate operating expense reporting, and identifying efficient business operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a track record of success in developing and mentoring staff members. Including the preparation of performance evaluations.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in corporate credit card policy, processing, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. 
  • Report cash outflows, AP turnover days and other cash forecasting metrics.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish them in a detailed, timely manner.

  • Sound interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to accurately knowledge to research and resolve accounting issues
  • MS Office products proficiency and an ability to quickly learn accounting software
  • Open to change and willing to learn new skills Job Specifications:

Required Experience

  • 5 years of AP experience
  • Advanced knowledge of full cycle AP
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Proficient Net Suite or similar ERP experience
  • Preferred Experience o Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree
  • Solid understanding of GAAP

The US base salary range for this position at full-time 93,550 - $ 149,680 per year. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, location, and market competitive benchmarks. Individual pay within a level is determined by work location (including geographic pay zone region), job related skills, experience, education, and training.
