Summary
Acts as the initial point on month-end closing process, including but not limited to, ensuring journal entries are prepared timely and accurately, which covers Cash, AR, Inventory, Fixed Assets, AP. Also, it covers limited banking transactions, and coordinates post-close activities, if necessary. Works on assignments that are routine and barely complex in nature. Normally deviation follows established procedures supported by supervision and/or instructions.
Responsibilities
- Performs a range of basic accounting tasks and conducts/documents transactions to finalize monthly closing, such as invoicing, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and inventory, in compliance with reporting requirements.Manages moderately simple questions and lookup regarding payment status, transactions, Capex #, and templates.
Education/Skills
- Accounting and related field bachelor’s degree
- 3 year cumulative accounting experience
- Microsoft Application (Advanced Excel skills is a plus)
- ERP experience, Netsuite is needed
