BioPhase is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near San Diego, CA
Hybrid Position - 3 days onsite - San Diego, CA.
Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant, Revenue and Financial Reporting, to manage and ensure accuracy in revenue recognition, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will oversee the month-end close process, prepare financial statements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in monthly revenue recognition for product sales and determine sales allowances and accruals, and revenue related account reconciliations.
- Support in quarterly and annual external financial reporting, including Forms 10-Qs ,10-Ks and 8-Ks.
- Aid and coordinate with SOX consultants during SOX reviewing and testing and maintain the Company’s internal control documentation.
- Facilitate in the development/updating of departmental internal control operating processes, procedures and standards, as needed.
- Assists with special, ad-hoc projects as requested.
- Stay current with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Work directly with the FP&A group for proper accounting treatment and integration of business development transactions.
- Help with ad-hoc and special projects as requested.
Education/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field preferred.
- Three to five years of revenue recognition, audit, and SEC reporting experience.
- Solid understanding of SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP accounting.
- Extensive experience of the Sarbanes-Oxley act of 2002 requirements.
- Experience with SEC reporting tools/platforms such as Active Disclosure preferred.
