Join the foundation of our paper-making excellence as a PM Superintendent / Process Lead at our Wiggins, MS paper mill! We're looking for hardworking individuals who are ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the essential tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. As a crucial part of our team, you'll be hands-on in the production process, assisting in various aspects of paper manufacturing. What We Need From You:Safety/Environmental Compliance
  • Drive improvement in safety behaviors, system & results to reduce risk resulting in an injury free machine, department, & facility.
  • Responsible for day-to-day safety and actively lead/assist with all area safety efforts.
  • Manage operations to comply with all state/federal environmental regulations and permits.
  • Actively support the Mill’s accident reduction programs (i.e., Hazard Mapping and behavior-based safety) and encourage employee involvement.
Leadership/Production
  • Produce & deliver the highest quality product at the lowest cost through employee engagement and the development and implementation of systems, training, and the development of all personnel.
  • Ensure the day-to-day maintenance activities are coordinated and performed.
  • Assist with establishing operating parameters for equipment to ensure consistency and efficiency, and to improve equipment uptime and production.
  • Work with scheduling to maximize machine efficiency and available pulp supplies.
Customer Satisfaction/Product Quality
  • Work with vendors and technical staff to ensure that all trials including but not limited to products, clothing and chemicals are run in an efficient & effective manner.
  • Implement all quality procedures to improve and sustain product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with Customer service, Scheduling and Sales to better service our customers.
  • Participate in complaint resolutions and develop action plan implementation for defect elimination.
  • Develop and support daily planning sessions with lead operators to review daily task/customer orders to ensure that all customer requirements are met.
  • Visit customers as needed: support their operations, discuss needs, and resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement/Maintenance
  • Work with maintenance manager, maintenance planner, and maintenance crew to improve machine reliability.
  • Promote and support employee involvement.
  • Provide system monitoring to ensure product quality and ensure that all employees are trained in their use.
  • Promote and lead GMP/SQF and Lean processes within the mill.
Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering, paper science, or related technical field or equivalent years of experience doing the job is desired.
  • Minimum 5 years in process oriented MFG environment is required, paper or tissue experience is desired.
  • Minimum 3 years of related supervisory experience required.
  • A history of proven performance and consistently meeting objectives, and leading or supporting safety programs is a must.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an intermediate level in Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience with continuous improvement, Lean MFG, or Six Sigma is desired.

  • Moving equipment
  • Personal Protective Equipment required in the Mill environment.
  • Less than 10% of travel required.
  • Be available to be on call nights and weekends when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pulp & Paper Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a high level of understanding of papermaking test methods and data interpretation.
  • Must be highly proficient with analysis of large amounts of data.
