Applicants must be BioWork students or graduates who completed a Pre-apprentice Training Program form and enrolled in a Biopharmaceutical Technology Apprenticeship program at a registered Community College.

You Will

• Work onsite at our Holly Springs, NC facility and rotate between Facilities, Utilities, HVAC/Refrigeration, Calibrations, and Process Maintenance teams to gather knowledge on all aspects of Pharmaceutical Maintenance.
• Repair, install, inspect, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain pharmaceutical production and processing machinery and utility distribution systems.
• Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to plans.
• Learn how to track and monitor equipment performance to prevent equipment failures.
• Learn how to adjust, setup, calibrate, complete alignments on conventional production equipment.
• Monitor and respond to equipment and Building Automation System alarms.
• Follow standard operating procedures for preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Comply with all GxP guidelines and compliance requirements for maintenance practices and documentation.
• Execute Maintenance Work orders in a CMMS system.
• Clean and move materials into a GMP controlled classified areas.
• Upon successful completion of the 1 year program and course requirements, receive an Journeyworker Apprenticeship Certificates from the Unites States Department of Labor and the North Carolina Community Colleges

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have completed (or be in the process of completing) a NC BioWork Certificate Program (Pre-Apprenticeship) Or be currently enrolled in a Biopharmaceutical Technology Apprenticeship program at a registered Community College

• CIS-110 Intro to Computers or equivalent coursework
• ELC-128 Intro to PLC or equivalent coursework
• MNT-110 Intro to Maint. Procedures or equivalent coursework

Choice Of

• HYD-110 Hydraulics/Pneumatics I or equivalent coursework
• MEC-111 Machine Processes I or equivalent coursework
