Bipartisan Policy Center is Hiring an Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships Near Washington, DC

The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, DC-based think tank that helps policymakers work across the aisle to craft bipartisan solutions. By connecting lawmakers, delivering data and context, negotiating policy details, and creating space for bipartisan collaboration, BPC ensures democracy can function on behalf of all Americans. BPC is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial development professional to join our growing development team. The Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing a comprehensive corporate fundraising and partnership program, working with our project directors and BPC leadership. The role will involve cultivating relationships with corporations and securing funding for BPC’s projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate fundraising and partnership strategy.
  • Manage all appeals renewals, and regular communications as part of BPC’s corporate campaign.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of 50-100 corporate prospects.
  • Ensure BPC’s corporate prospect pipeline is robust by identifying and researching prospects, engaging project directors and BPC leadership to provide input to build the pipeline and regularly assessing and reporting on progress.
  • Steward relationships with corporate partners and ensure they receive maximum benefit from their investment.
  • Work with Associate, Corporate Partnerships to ensure all data associated with renewals and close dates are tracked, reviewed and recorded in CRM.
  • Coordinate with internal project teams to develop proposals that align with corporate giving and funding opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to the executive office, leadership team and board of directors on fundraising activities and results.
  • Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal teams to ensure effective outreach and follow up with corporate partners and provide support to BPC project staff on how to approach corporate prospects

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 6-8 years of proven experience in corporate fundraising and partnership development for a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with full corporate partner gift lifecycle, including identification, cultivation and stewardship, executing gift agreements and renewal facilitation.
  • Exemplary organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with CRM and revenue data management and analysis.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates a history of building relationships through fostering enthusiasm and mutual trust, candor, and respect.
  • Results-oriented, able to see concepts and ideas through to implementation.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and use of sound judgment.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards.
  • Passion for the BPC mission and the ability to translate that passion and commitment into compelling donor communications.

Work Schedule

The work/life balance of employees is a priority for the Bipartisan Policy Center. As a result, BPC is currently operating on a hybrid schedule. Employees at BPC are currently coming into the office three times a week. Employees at BPC expected to be in the office from Tuesday to Thursday every week.

BPC offers comprehensive health insurance benefits, covering 90% of costs for HMO and POS plans (with employees covering 10%), and 80% for the PPO plan (with employees covering 20%)

Additional benefits include 403(b) matching contributions of up to 7% of salary in addition to a non-elective contribution of 2% of salary (both after 90 days of employment); 15 vacation days, 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and 12 holidays per year; education benefits up to $5,250 per year after one year of employment; $2,000 for professional development expenses after six months of employment; Metro benefits of up to $130 per month; Company provided life insurance; and dental and vision insurance coverage with a Flexible Spending Plan.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000.
