Web Developer, BirchStreet Systems Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Web Developer to join our team in San Antonio, (On-site). As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, primarily utilizing Object Pascal (Delphi), .NET, HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS, and RDBMS (Firebird/Interbase). You will collaborate closely with our IT team, engage with stakeholders to design and document major projects, oversee the build process for QA and release modules, and provide mentorship and training to junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Object Pascal (Delphi) and .NET technologies.
- Utilize HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS for front-end development.
- Work with RDBMS, particularly Firebird/Interbase, for database development.
- Manage projects and tasks using JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
- Use Visual Studio for application development and debugging.
- Implement JSON/REST APIs for data exchange.
- Develop and maintain Windows Services and manage IIS configurations.
- Backup the manager during periods of absence and assist in managing the development team workload.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to other members of the development team.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and document project specifications.
- Conduct ongoing team training and mentorship to ensure skills development and project readiness.
- Oversee the build process, ensuring quality assurance and timely release of modules.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Object Pascal (Delphi) and .NET application development.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with RDBMS, preferably Firebird/Interbase.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using JIRA for project management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Visual Studio.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with JSON/REST APIs.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows Services and IIS configuration.
- Experience with SAML/SSO protocols is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong project management abilities to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders
