BirdWatch is Hiring a Local Partnerships Manager Near Philadelphia, PA

Birdwatch is bringing relationships back to home services. Our hospitality approach brings together amazing technicians (our employees!) with elegant technology to take the stress out of taking care of your home. We become the homeowner’s best friend and the easy button for your home.
Founded in early 2022, Birdwatch PBC – yes, we’re a public benefit corp – has established a strong foundation in two quick years, recently taken on investment, and we’re pressing the gas on marketing. Two key pillars that have shown great promise are local channel partnerships and field marketing, and now we need you to own and harvest that potential.
This is a high leverage role. You’ll start reporting directly to the CEO and will drive both strategy and execution. If you want to come into a job with a solid playbook, that’s not this. We have lots of ideas, lots of experiments underway, but we need someone who’s comfortable in both “the lab” and the field. Someone who will roll up the sleeves and thrives in finding the signal in the noise.
AboutWe’re not here to micromanage you through a list of tasks — if you’re a great candidate, you’re going to tell us more about what should be done than vice versa. There are several ways that this work could unfold, and we’re eager to talk about the strategic pros and cons of those options. But here are some of the things that could be true in 6-12 months if we’ve landed the right person:
  • We’ve turned exciting but nascent partnerships like those with TTR Sotheby’s, Ace Hardware, and Budget Blinds into leadgen machines
  • We’ve launched our referral partner program and have dozens of active local SMBs and vendor partners that are Birdwatch member generators
  • At least a third of our new member acquisition targets are consistently coming from channel partner and field marketing efforts
  • We’re a consistent presence with a fun field team at community events to generate brand awareness and buzz — Birdwatch is a brand built to be loved
  • Field marketing (door to door, door hangers, etc.) is yielding high-density member acquisition
  • Our physical marketing CAC is meeting or beating our online numbers
Phone calls, coffee chats, and handshakes (I guess those are back after COVID?) are going to be the day to day. Many partnerships will be with SMBs, but some can be with regional or even soon national entities. You’ll have a hand in creative, in content, and building supporting web pages and technology tools. Knowledge of the home services environment or home upkeep in general are a plus but not required — you just need to pitch enough to open the doors, we have marketing and sales support behind you to support inbound.
