Job SummaryBirgo Realty / Birgo Capital is seeking a part-time, Pittsburgh-based intern to join our People Team (Human Resources) for 8-10 weeks this summer. Our team at Birgo focuses on investing in and managing multi-family real estate, covering a wide range of roles from corporate to property management and maintenance. The People Team Intern will support Birgo’s recruiting processes and conduct research projects. This is an exceptional opportunity for a business, HR, or communications major interested in a human resources or talent acquisition career. Responsibilities
Job Posting and Promotion: Post and promote Birgo job opportunities.
Candidate Screening: Conduct screening calls for inbound maintenance candidates and arrange next steps.
Applicant Tracking: Maintain up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system
Onboarding Support: Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Research and Innovation: Conduct research projects and recommend processes for recruiting strategies and preferred partners in Birgo’s Western New York and Ohio markets.
Candidate Engagement: Create a candidate newsletter email template to engage qualified, passive, and previous Birgo applicants.
Social Media Support: Assist the People Team with social media posts to attract quality candidates for open roles and build passive candidate pipelines.
Pipeline Development: Build passive candidate pipelines by sourcing qualified candidates, adding them to our database, and managing the general application talent pipeline.
Process Documentation: Document and update recruiting processes.
Communication: Build and organize candidate communication templates for various stages of the recruitment process.
Employer Branding: Support employer branding efforts such as maintaining a presence on Glassdoor and participating in career/job fairs.
Other duties as assigned to help the People Team improve lives through real estate
Requirements
Basic understanding of human resources, recruiting/hiring, or small business principals
Technological fluency and proficiency in Google Suite
Mature judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively
Willingness to take directions on projects and then manage time accordingly to meet deadlines
Organized and detail-oriented
Intellectually curious
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Comfortable talking on the phone often

$18/hour
Under 20 hours per week; ~3 days/week
