Bismarck Gymnastics Academy is Hiring a Team Program Coordinator Near Bismarck, ND

GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Team Coordinator will organize and direct all Team Programs and. The Team Coordinator will work and coordinate with any team user groups. The Team Coordinator will also serve as the Lead Coach for the USAG program.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (50% of job responsibilities)

· Supervise and train coaches/employees in the Team Programs and activities.

· Conduct regular workshops/meetings to review safety rules, rule changes, proper spotting, and new techniques for all employees/coaches.

· Responsible for all employee actions including but not limited to hiring, discipline, and salary recommendation.

· Prepare and conduct annual reviews on coaches/employees in the Team Programs and activities.

· Prepare schedules for all team programs, while coordinating and collaborating with any user groups to ensure space is available.

· In collaboration with the Executive Director, prepare and maintain a working budget for Team programs.

· Maintain equipment and replace equipment when necessary to provide a safe environment for gymnasts.

· Participate in training sessions and attend mandatory meetings as scheduled.

· Develop and implement individual and team training programs and lesson plans.

· Work with Team Program level leads to ensure proper lesson plans are being conducted.

· Maintain Regular correspondence with USAG in regard to USAG coaches’ membership, athlete membership and meet registration.

· Organize and host USAG Gymnastics meets. Act as the meet director for all USAG meets and events held at BGA or sponsored locations.

COACHING RESPONSIBILITIES (40% of job responsibilities)

· Coach competitive gymnasts from all USAG levels, including BIO, pre-comp, Xcel, and levels 3-10.

· Communicate with parents and gymnasts on expectations of the competitive program and responsibilities.

· Communicate with Recreation to ensure proper lesson plans are being conducted and coordinate flow of events for safe and maximum use of the gym space.

· Maintain technical knowledge in the gymnastics field through workshops and clinics.

· Evening coaching hours are required (until all Team Program practices are completed); a minimum of two (2) days a week. The program coordinator is expected to coach until at least 6pm on the other Three (3) days each week.

· Minimum coaching hours; Summer months 20 hours per week, school year 15 hours per week.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES (10% of the Job)

· Assist with all fundraising activities within the gym, including but not limited to products fundraisers and events.

· Assist with receptionist and/or office duties as needed. Including but not limited to answering phone calls, greeting members answering programming questions, pro-shop sales etc.

· Assist with opening and closing procedures.

· Design, size order USAG BGA parent athlete apparel and accessories.

· Other duties as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Regular Workdays - Monday through Friday, with some weekends for meets and/or fundraiser.

Regular Work Hours – 40 hours per week in office/gym.

Three (3) days a week - hours between 9:00am and 6:00pm.

Two (2) days a week – hours between 11:00am and 8:00pm.

JOB CRITERIA

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Educational and experience requirements include Minimum of 5 years gymnastics coaching background in an upper-level competitive setting. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of gymnastics - technical skills, proper use of equipment and safety.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to organize. Knowledge and skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel. Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

Ability to provide excellent customer services, create and maintain a professional environment for gymnasts, members, coworkers, and the public.
