BiXi is a two story Asian gastropub on Milwaukee Avenue in the heart of Logan Square featuring cuisine from Chef Bo Fowler (Owen & Engine, Fat Willy's). Our unique style and décor stand out in a rapidly changing Logan Square and our contemporary Asian inspired dishes are one of a kind. Our property includes two floors with a dining room and full bar on each floor, a rooftop patio, a small lounge, a private dining room, an event space, and a small brewery.
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate, hard working, full-time beverage director that can also act as a front of house manager. This position requires care and constant attention, as we pride ourselves on our products. We have worked hard to make a name for ourselves in the city, and we want to keep building on our good reputation. This position requires someone that has extensive background knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine in addition to the chef's menu. We also ask that the person in this position keeps up with restaurant trends in the city as we wish to stay competitive and relevant. We are looking for someone with superior hospitality skills that can teach our staff how to give each of our guests an extraordinary experience night after night. The position requires someone that shows care and attention day after day. Cicerone and sommelier certification is not required, but preferred.

Keep up with day to day restaurant operations

Classic cocktail knowledge and experience
Background knowledge of beer and alcoholic beverages
Keeping up with product knowledge
Able to speak with guests comfortably
Able to sell products and cuisine with ease
Clear communication with coworkers
Bar preparation
Large format drink making
Safe workplace practices
Clean and professional presentation
Cleanliness is expected of all team members
Work scheduled shifts without truancy
Responsible for drink production
Keep up with day to day bar operations

$60-$70K (Plus Bonus)
