Prestigious international bank seeks AVP, Counterparty Credit Risk Management.

The position is responsible for exposureand portfolio management of the derivatives and traded products portfolio,which includes analysis of exposures, monitoring of limits and exposures, andrisk reporting.

As the business has asignificant growth strategy and expands into new traded products, this is anexciting time for the group to play a critical role in

1.Portfolio management,

2.Driving and executing new initiatives,

3.Meeting regulatory requirements, and

4.Working to improve risk governance.

Position description -

As an integral part ofAmericas Risk Management,

·Responsible forexposure and portfolio management of counterparties and effective management ofrisk in derivative transactions.

·Conduct what-ifanalysis on new transactions and counterparty portfolio.

·Utilize what-ifanalysis to determine appropriate risk limits and work with credit officers andwith front office to formulate recommendations.

·Play a criticalliaison role with Head Office Credit Departments in Tokyo for timely creditlimit applications and approvals for Japanese Corporate Counterparties andInterbank Counterparties.

·On an ongoingbasis, analyze counterparty credit exposure on various metrics such as ExpectedPositive Exposure, Potential Future Exposure, etc.

·Responsible formonitoring and reporting of intraday and end of day limits, excesses andcollateral disputes.

·Play a key rolein executing ongoing improvements in data quality and reporting infrastructure.

·Support newinitiatives and projects to enhance portfolio management and exposuremanagement.

·Play a criticalSME role in working with the Technology group (IT) to guide businessrequirements related to new products/enhanced reporting.

·Support ongoingregulatory requirements/exams on ongoing remediation.

Requirements

·Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Mathematics/Engineering.

·Strong analytical and quantitative background, andmodeling abilities

·Proficiency in VBA and Python

·Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Credit RiskManagement.

·Experience in derivative products/counterparty creditrisk is preferred.

·Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

·Strong attention to detail.

·Ability to work closely with partners, providedirection and follow-up to get the job done.

·Proficiency in Japanese is preferred
