Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Education

• Hold or be Eligible for State of DE Certification (Elementary Education preferred)

• 2 years of successful experience teaching K-12 or adult learners

• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills

• Demonstrated competency in classroom teaching

• Proficient in the use of technology; specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite

• Successful completion of the State of Delaware Pre-Professional Skills Test prior to employment

Responsibilities:

working conditions associated with this position. Responsibilities may include any or all of the following:

• Teaching students in assigned subject area(s) with an emphasis on reasoning and problem solving in a hybrid and/or virtual learning environment.

• Prepares instruction and activities using the program's curriculum to assigned classes and shows evidence of

• preparation upon request of the supervisors.

• Assesses students' learning on an ongoing basis and alters instruction to meet group/individual needs.

• Prepare lessons for students in specified area of Adult Education: (ABE) adults whose skills are either at or below an

• eight-grade level.

• Instruct students individually and/or in groups using various teaching methods, and the Delaware Adult Basic

• Education state curricula.

• Knowledge and use of techniques appropriate for adult learners.

• Administer Pre- Post-assessment to students and interpret results to students in order to establish short and long-term

• goals.

• Use data to monitor and manage student learning and performance.

• Complete Weekly/Monthly data collection and reports.

• Attend staff meetings and state and local sponsored professional development activities periodically.

• Refer adult learners with challenging life issues to appropriate resources.

• Work with adult students in employment facilitation and career pathways.

• Contact students with excessive absences

• Performs other duties as assigned by the administration in accordance with program's policies and practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $34.98 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
