Black Eagle Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Systems Technician to join the team! We provide a broad range of Fire & Life safety services - monitoring, testing, inspecting, system maintenance, installations, and code compliance consultations - to the industries we serve.

In this role, you will be:

• Responsible for installing, programming, testing, inspecting, and final acceptance by customers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) of complex fire alarm systems.
• Produce detailed commissioning and inspection reports in accordance with NFPA.
• Routinely inspect, test, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems.
• Conduct service calls and perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on low-voltage systems.
• Responsible for ensuring high levels of accuracy of these responsibilities and working in accordance with applicable national and local Codes and Standards.
• You will also respond to emergency service calls and ensure the systems are functioning properly.
• Coach & mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Works closely with the Project Manager/Designer and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Provide exceptional customer service and develop strong relationships with customers, property managers & general contractors.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience troubleshooting, servicing, and installing Fire Alarm systems.
• NICET certification. (preferred)
• Understanding of NFPA standards and state and local building and fire codes.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
• Knowledge of Burglar Alarm, CCTV, and Access Control. (Preferred)
• Required to have a full understanding of NFPA 72 - NEC - IBC and NFPA 101.
• A team player who works well with others, as well as independently.
• Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate well with internal staff on customer installations and/or issues.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
