Black Equipment is Hiring a Parts Specialist Near Jackson, TN

PARTS SPECIALIST

  • Responsible for supporting internal/external customers by processing parts orders, creating purchase orders and sourcing parts through different vendors.
  • Assist mechanics with identifying and ordering correct parts
  • Prepare quotes for customers as necessary

SUMMARY:

Black Equipment is looking for a Parts Coordinator to assist in processing customer parts orders for both internal and external customers. Position will include assisting technicians with part identification and ability as well as daily customer contact. The ideal candidate will communicate proactively with customers on orders, including deliveries and delays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Obtain orders from customers and/or technicians
  • Research parts from manuals or diagrams and identify parts accurately
  • Ensure orders are delivered in a timely manner and communicate with customer on delays if necessary.
  • Process work orders and invoice accordingly
  • Manage inventory counts on parts as necessary

EXPERIENCE:

Ideal candidate will have parts knowledge or prior experience in car/forklift parts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the primary duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties.

Typically, the associate will lift, pick, pull, and stock heavy duty truck parts that might be in excess of 50 lbs. The associate will be required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. Also, the associate will also have to do the following throughout the day: walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing and climbing.
