Black Hawk College is Hiring an Adjunct Faculty - GED Instructor Near Moline, IL
General Information & ResponsibilitiesBlack College seeks adjunct/part-time Instructors for the GED program. Instructor will provide appropriate classroom instruction to prepare students for the tests to earn a GED. Openings available at the Adult Learning Center located in Rock Island, IL and the Outreach Center in East Moline, IL. Class sessions are Monday - Friday from 9am - 12pm, and/or Monday - Thursday from 5:30pm - 8:00pm. Pay is commensurate with education and experience. Minimum starting pay for Adult Education Adjunct Faculty (as of Spring 2023) Bachelor's Candidates start at $22.47/hr; Bachelor's 15 candidates start at $24.35/hr; Master's candidates start at $26.22/hr. Description Of DutiesFaculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate lessons, assignments, or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience; evaluate students’ performance; maintain classroom records, equipment, and instructional materials. Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree required. Teaching or training experience preferred. Supplemental InformationHours are 9:00am - 12:00pm Monday through Friday or 5:30pm - 8:00pm Monday through Thursday.
