We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals who are looking to become a member of the Black Label team. 50-60% Travel required.

Job Overview:

The Director of Operations will serve as a senior leader within the Company overseeing all operational processes for the Company and execute the Company’s strategic goals. The Director of Operations shall integrate processes to efficiently scale with the Company’s growth and vision. The Director of Operations will lead the Organization in standardizing repeatable, efficient processes and procedures across all departments and functions to build scalability. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting. This role will require exceptional leadership qualities, project management, organizational skills, and innovative problem-solving.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mentor all supply chain, purchasing, fabrication, warehouse, and inside sales personnel and ensure each team is achieving team and individual goals that align with Company goals.
  • Oversee employee productivity, training, and professional development.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations and work closely with all Field Operations Managers to integrate the service and business together.
  • Develop and implement operational systems and processes to provide visibility into Company goals and key performance indicators.
  • Create metrics and dashboards to monitor efficiencies, quantifiable goals, opportunities to improve, and trends to ensure teams have resourced needed.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures to standardize Company operations across all branches.
  • Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs company-wide and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
  • Work with all department managers and executives to develop streamlined processes that align with the Company goals and serve as the most efficient process to operate.
  • Implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
  • Communicate and educate new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
  • Create training programs and instructional guides for business operations team and resources for onboarding.
  • Learn department basic functions and streamline processes in Company systems.
  • Own, maintain, and develop all Company standard operation procedures (SOP) and implement SOPs company-wide.
  • Develop procurement strategies and resource allocations to improve efficiencies.
  • Outline strategies to execute Company directives and growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement, provide solutions to operational problems or issues, and find better ways to operate.
  • Research and implement new initiatives for business growth and prosperity.
  • Serve as an integral leader within the organization and be a subject matter expert in process improvement, organizational design, and management systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics or other related field required.
  • 5-7 years of Operations Management experience required.
  • Six Sigma Certification or PMP Certification required.
  • Master’s in Business Administration preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of operations management, preferably in the automation and electrical service industry.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform duties in an office setting.
  • Hands on knowledge of Prophet 21 or other similar ERP system.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, data queries, and performance metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including excel, word, outlook, and PowerPoint.
