Black Pearl Management is Hiring a Project Estimator (Landscape Construction) Near Leesburg, VA

Black Pearl Management is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our team. This management-level role is crucial for accurately pricing projects, developing contracts, and ensuring smooth transitions to our production team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while fostering positive relationships with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Responsibilities

  • Create accurate estimates for each project, including hours, material quantities and costs, and subcontractor costs.
  • Develop and present contracts to prospective clients.
  • Manage and report on estimates created and in progress, including sales reports.
  • Ensure estimate deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with subcontractors, employees, and vendors.
  • Ensure all subcontractors submit written quotes for project pricing.
  • Facilitate project turnover to the production team for new jobs sold.
  • Attend project reviews at the end of each project to learn and improve processes.
  • Assist with the procurement of materials.
  • Communicate any improvements to enhance company products, client experience, or processes.
  • Manage the tracking of leads, sales, and change orders.
  • Ability to be well-versed in any projects that are estimated to assist with production questions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Estimator or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience within construction industry 3 years
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in reading plans and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with takeoff software
  • Strong background in Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
