In This Role, You Will
- Lead and manage the corporate accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support
- Oversee the completion and review of monthly accounting close activities
- Manage the revenue accrual process and review analyses of monthly revenue and production
- Direct the preparation of the financial statements and related schedules for the monthly financial package and quarterly SEC filings
- Manage internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Coordinate audit activities and act as the main contact for external auditors
- Review technical accounting memorandums for submission to management and auditors
- Assist in continuously improving the automation of accounting and reporting processes
- Perform other financial accounting duties, as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Accounting
- CPA with eight (8) - twelve (12) years of public company or public accounting experience
- Experience in the oil & gas industry along with SOX compliance preferred
- Precise computation skills and rapid problem-solving ability
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial/operational understanding
- Highly developed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
- Solid interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a small team environment
