About the Job

As a Senior Product Manager for Payments, you will be responsible for developing and implementing payment solutions that enhance our loyalty and rewards platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge payment technologies that improve customer satisfaction and business outcomes, specifically total payment volume.

Responsibilities

• Lead the vision for your product area.
• Understand payments product problems, identify creative solutions, and execute against a payments product roadmap that adds great value to Blackbird’s ecosystem.
• Collaborate with external partners and internal cross-functional teams to develop and launch new payment features.
• Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to position Blackbird as a market leader in restaurant payment solutions.
• Work with Go-To-Market teams (Sales, Account management) to understand restaurant pain points and optimize processes.
• Work with Legal and Compliance on AML/KYC policies.
• Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on payments systems, either consumer or B2B, with a strong preference for consumer-side experience.
• Has domain knowledge in financial products, particularly card processing and banking-as-a-service.
• Ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
• Proven track record of shipping products 0 to 1, managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of payment technologies, regulations, and industry standards.
• Skilled at working closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
• Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mobile payment solutions and digital wallets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
• Interested in leveraging technology to revolutionize the dining experience through innovative payment solutions.
• Experience with or interest in blockchain technology and restaurants.
• Experience with API development.
