We are looking for a Web Operations Manager who is a creative problem solver and developer with experience in web operations systems and knowledge of current standards and best practices.

As the Web Operations Manager, you will create the website for all Blackhawk clients. You will manage internal developers and external vendors to ensure that projects are executed to Blackhawk’s standards and within scope. You will also mentor and train our internal development team and ensure their success. This role also involves the systems, technology, and processes that support 100 websites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Web Operations

• Manage 100 client websites using WP admin tools
• Manage WordPress installs and hosting - WP Engine, Flywheel
• Manage WordPress plugins - Yoast, Gravity Forms, WPForms, etc.
• Edit code - HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Implement best practices and how to implement proper web standards
• Migrate sites between hosts and platforms
• Ensure that plugins, themes, and code bases are being kept up to date

Web Development

• Ensure the Blackhawk team builds client sites according to best practices
• Understand elements of technical SEO, such as meta tags, URL structures, backlinks, security, images, videos
• Work with the web development team, front-end developers, back-end developers, and designers to create new websites or upgrade existing websites.
• Understand the capacity and strengths of internal and external developers and assign projects appropriately
• Moderate understanding of additional platforms such as Shopify, Hubspot, or other technology that clients' sites are built on.
• Assist with incoming requests from client helpdesk for website updates
• Proactively implement training, processes, or technology changes to increase efficiency and quality.

Web Management

• Ensure that web development budgets are met
• Manage internal web developers, ensuring that they are achieving skill and career growth
• Collaborate on web budgets and timelines with web project manager and sales team

Team Leadership & Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of web developers and designers
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of web development, web operations, or web management experience
• 3 years experience of custom WordPress development, preferably with an agency
• 1-2 years of management experience
• 1-2 years of client-facing experience
• In-depth experience with PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and other WordPress-related technologies
• Extensive knowledge of common WordPress plugins, such as Advanced Custom Fields Pro, WP Forms, Elementor, etc
• Ability to communicate well, prioritize tasks and work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
