Seeking a Senior Process Engineer to play an integral role in the design functions for hydrogen infrastructure and project development. The role will lead process design, analysis, planning, FEED studies and integration of green and blue hydrogen and ammonia production. This includes water electrolysis, ATR hydrogen generation technologies, ammonia loop and ASU, as well as storage of these energy solutions.

As needed the Senior Process Engineer will lead and supervise process design work and FEED studies with 3rd party engineering companies, EPCs, and consultants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess new and existing hydrogen technologies
• Develop technology readiness level assessment reports for hydrogen and ammonia production, as well as other renewable energy products and equipment
• Develop high level heat and material balances, Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDs
• Develop detailed process databases, data sheets for instrumentation and equipment
• Review and develop process engineering calculations
• Review heat exchanger thermal ratings, control valve specification and selection, pump, tank, vessel and hydrogen compressor sizing
• Develop summary reports
• Review and approve project design documentation
• Lead client review and kick off meetings, plant startups and performance tests
• Review and follow up throughout the engineering work cycle
• Present at customer meetings and internal presentations
• Create new or existing technology improvements, patents, and improved work processes for increased efficiency in execution

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Working level knowledge of hydrogen industry specifications, codes and standards (NFPA 2, ASME B31.12, and CGA 5.5
• Experience utilizing HYSYS and ASPEN modeling and simulation software
• Experience with Smart Plant P&ID design tools
• Good understanding of hydrogen piping design and CO2 capture technology
• Working knowledge of water treatment, fire and cooling systems, heat exchanger design, and thermal ratings
