Senior Structural Engineer (Civil or Mechanical)
BlackRock Resources has a great direct-hire opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in the Houston or Corpus Christi area. Salary range $95,000-$110,000.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform design & analysis for various projects supporting the general material handling industry
Projects will range from foundation analysis to structural and mechanical analysis of large overhead cranes and runway systems
Travel 20% of the time for site visits to assess job scopes and collect data required for analysis
Must be able to communicate with clients and technicians effectively in the field to develop unique solutions to solve the problem at hand
Candidate will be able to develop clear action plans for their projects and communicate updates regularly
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Civil (Structural) or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience (Material Handling preferred)
Preferred 10 years' experience
Registered E.I.T. or P.E. or the ability and desire to become registered in this role.
Proficient with both FEA and stick-build structural analysis software
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs for development of design spreadsheets and presentation of design results in a formal findings report
Engineering Software Used: Bluebeam Revu, Bentley Ram Elements, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD
Eligible to work in U.S. and available to work standard 8am to 5pm CST work week hours.
Proficient in MS office and Teams
