- Fabricates and welds steel components and repairs on heavy equipment with welding equipment as specified by layouts, drawings or specific needs.
- Troubleshoots mechanical and installation problems that supervisors are experiencing and fabricates custom tools/components to resolve construction problem; or locates an outside vendor to fabricate the necessary tools/components.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent; or equivalent combinations of training and experience
- Welding certificate usually obtained through a 2-year welding program or a minimum of 5 years of welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen
- Willingness to travel and relocate to the job site (100% travel)
- Construction experience/previous assembly experience in the solar industry
- Prefer advanced knowledge of work methods, techniques, materials and tools used in metal fabrication and welding.
