Job Posting: Full-Time School Nurse (CSN)

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a School Nurse in Massachusetts, in accordance with local and state regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Current RN license in Massachusetts.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience working as a School Nurse or in pediatric nursing.
• Strong knowledge of child health issues, immunization requirements, and medication administration protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

• Providing direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health conditions.
• Conducting health screenings and assessments to identify health concerns and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Managing students' medication administration and maintaining accurate records.
• Developing individualized health care plans (IHCPs) for students with complex medical needs.
• Providing training and education to school staff on health-related topics, including asthma management, diabetes care, and seizure precautions.
• Collaborating with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to coordinate services and support students' health needs in the school setting.
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid as needed.
• Promoting a healthy school environment through health education initiatives and wellness programs.
