Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a hunter of new business opportunities who will be responsible for creating new business pipelines and bring on new clients for Blazerworks.
This position is an inside sales role that involves multiple communication streams as well including face-to-face interaction with prospects to generate new business opportunities. Once contracts have been executed, the client will then be transitioned to the applicable account manager for on-going management at which point BDM involvement will be minimal with the exception of client check-ins, surveys, referrals, etc.
Duties:
Meet and exceed weekly, monthly and quarterly activity and business development goals.
Source new sales opportunities using various techniques including but not limited to cold calling, email marketing, networking and LinkedIn/Social Media.
Overcome objections and use investigative questioning techniques to get past the gatekeeper and to the decision maker.
Master the ability to communicate our value propositions to prospective clients.
Qualify prospective clients by having in depth conversations with lead source and lead contacts to determine if the prospect has a business challenge or need that Blazerworks can address through our offerings. Once qualified, schedule and conduct virtual presentation outlining our program.
Create, organize and track activity, leads, meetings and opportunities using selected CRM.
Become an expert in our organization’s suite of staffing and technology solutions.
Maintain a professional, entrepreneurial approach and mindset that is in line with Blazerworks core values and culture.
Compensation:
BDMs earn a base salary and are eligible for monthly bonuses based on client acquisitions and successful implementation and transition of our program to an account manager. End of Year bonuses may also apply:
Starting Salary Range: /- $50,000-$55,000
Starting Bonus Per New Client Contracts: $500-750
First Year Expectations:
Target for new hires is to achieve and maintain a 25 contract/year pace.
