• This position performs a variety of tasks and monitors departmental compliance with the planning and serving of catered events. Does hands on preparation, set up and serving of catered events. Insures that all safety and sanitation standards are followed. Provides direction to staff assisting with catered events. Works with the Retail Manager to provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction for catering events. Provides cafeteria support as time allows. Perform most hot and cold food positions with competency. Accurately completes all assigned financial reports in a timely and accurate manner. Has the communication style to positively influence staff without being the supervisor. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

• Education/Training/Experience:
• REQUIRED:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a catering environment.
• PREFERRED:
• License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
  • Preferred: IDPH Foodservice Certificate
  • Valid Drivers License
• Pay Status:
  • NON-EXEMPT HOURLY
