Overview of BLOC Ministries:
We are an inner city ministry that lives and works in the neighborhoods we serve. Our mission exists to build relationships with our neighbors and share hope in brokenness. We target neighborhoods that are underserved. We have a staff size of about 50 where we have after school programs, sports performance center, houses for women in sex trafficking, men and women transitional homes, two coffee shops, screen printing, and other forms of ministry to love our neighbors.
What You Will Do:
- Assist with the processing of accounts payables and receivables
- Assist with monthly credit card entries and reports
- Assist with accounting admin tasks for the coffee shops
- Assist with bank reconciliations and other reconciling tasks as needed
- Maintain accuracy and organized financial records and documents
- Assist with budgeting processes as needed
- Assist with the preparation of grant financial reporting packages
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed
- Support the financial comptroller with various projects and tasks as needed
You Will Be A Good Fit If:
- Associates degree a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (E.g., Excel)
- Familiar with Quickbooks software is helpful
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A desire to learn and grow within the field of accounting
